Every child deserves to drink safe, clean water — yet in Uganda, thousands of families, especially in poor and rural communities, wake up each day to the painful reality of walking long distances to fetch unsafe water. This struggle exposes them to deadly diseases, robs children of time meant for school, and denies communities the chance to thrive.

At GESE Africa Uganda, we believe that access to safe water is not a privilege — it is a right. Through our GESE Safe Water For All project, we are committed to digging wells, constructing boreholes, and protecting natural springs so that every child and every family can have access to clean drinking water.
Our Solution
our solution is to provide sustainable access to clean water by:
• Constructing boreholes, protected springs, and wells in villages and schools.
• Setting up rainwater harvesting systems to ensure water supply during dry seasons.
• Promoting community-led hygiene and sanitation education to reduce waterborne diseases.
• Empowering local communities to manage and maintain these water systems for long-term use.

This project reduces the time children especially girls—spend walking long distances to fetch unsafe water, allowing them to stay in school and focus on their education. It also helps families stay healthier, lowers medical costs, and builds stronger, more resilient communities.
By bringing safe water closer to homes, schools, and health centers, GESE Africa Uganda is creating a future where no child or family suffers because of lack of clean water.
Our Goal.
he goal of the GESE Safe Water Project is to transform lives by providing sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water in underserved communities of Uganda.
With donor support, we will construct boreholes, wells, and protected springs, as well as introduce rainwater harvesting systems to ensure year-round access. Our aim is to reduce waterborne diseases, improve health, and free children especially girls from the burden of walking long distances to fetch unsafe water, allowing them to stay in school and pursue their dreams.
